Summer weekend over much of Italy. And next week comes the African heat wave. Meanwhile, according to what the Italian Weather Center reports, the strengthening high pressure over the Mediterranean ensures stability and summer climate but still without excessive heat. Today the weather will remain stable, «and with sunshine prevailing in the central-southern regions, while rain and thunderstorms will affect the north, with even intense phenomena especially in the North-West». Temperatures will gradually rise, especially in the Centre-South, where the temperature values will also be slightly above average.

«Tomorrow, a small and mild wave wave at high altitude will pass over the Mediterranean until it reaches Italy in the evening. This will bring many cloudy disturbances during the day in the South and on the Major Islands but with little rain, while there will be more clear spaces in the Centre-North, but with some afternoon phenomena in the Alps. Some showers may however affect Sardinia and in the evening hours isolated rainfall is not excluded on the lower Tyrrhenian side. Temperatures will generally be in line with the averages for the period or slightly above average in the Centre-South. Therefore summer climate in Italy, but without excessive heat.”

Calm situation from a thermal point of view «until the beginning of next week – explains the CMI – when a vast depression structure will sink towards the Iberian Peninsula.
