TREVISO – Arrested yesterday evening by the Belluno police for illegal possession of weapons: a man originally from the province of Treviso in handcuffs.
The military personnel intervened near the Provincial Command of viale Europa in Belluno, following a report of the possible presence of an armed individual in the area. Having issued the alert to all police forces, the carabinieri started a massive search action across the entire territory, deploying dozens of men and vehicles, for its identification, sifting through various areas of the capital. Once the subject has been located and the intervention area has been secured, in order to avoid the
presence of people or vehicles during the operation, the military proceeded with
extreme caution e determination until he was captured. Once the immediate search was carried out, both the weapon and the ammunition he had with him were found.
Conducted to the Provincial Command in viale Europa, the man was initially subjected to investigations, proceeding with the seizure of the weapon and ammunition, then to his arrest for illegal possession of a weapon. Initial investigations revealed that the weapon had been recently purchased with an authorization but for sporting use only, which did not allow it to be taken outside the place of detention. The man was then taken to the Belluno prison, at the disposal of the judicial authorities
