“Fresh air at altitude in transit, together with a flow from the southern quadrants, fuels unstable conditions close to the mountains and on the plains north of the Po, with more intense thunderstorms between Verbano and the Lakes area,” remarks the supervisory bulletin. “Sustained ventilation is reported in the southwestern Alpine mountains and Apennine areas. Partially sunny days are expected for tomorrow and the day after with daytime showers in the Alpine mountains and foothill areas“.
