PESARO – The Blue flag has been hoisted at the pier, but this year there is a heavy absence, that of Levante.

The recognition was hoisted on the Nazario Sauro seafront pier, a moment in which trade associations, beach operators and the Port Authority also participated. It’s about the 20th Blue Flaga sign of continuity that reflects the Administration’s commitment to protection and enhancement of interventions to guarantee water qualityof the quality services offered and the value of the initiatives of education and environmental protection of the city.

Present were the Frigate Captain Clarissa Torturo, the representatives of confartigianato Riccardo Giuliani and of CNA Antonio Bianchini, the manager Gianni Galdenzi and the organizational positions Davide Venturi and Marco Scriboni, while for the Consorzio di Ponente Antonella Baronciani, Giacomo Gaudenzi and Simone Baldassari.

Between 32 judging criteria examined by the national jury when assigning the flag, the following are included: the validity of the bathing water; the efficiency of wastewater purification and the sewerage network; separate collection; cycle paths; environmental education courses; hotel facilities. From this year, Fee has also included a new parameter: social commitment and inclusiveness, in line with the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.

Yet there is no shortage of controversy because this year the blue flag was not recognized for the Eastern Sea. Genica’s chronic problem is one of the factors that affected him. Beach and tourism operators have been criticized for neglecting this portion of the sea.
