“They climbed over the fences and reached the subway.” Research in progress

Two inmates of the Beccaria juvenile prison in Milan «they escaped from the promenades around 5pm, climbing over various fences, and they managed to reach the subway station.” They are a 16 year old Moroccan and a 15 year old second generation Italian. They were last seen near the bus stop Bisceglie, on the M1. The news was given by Gennarino De Fazio, general secretary of the Uilpa Penitentiary Police.

The two, according to what was explained by the prison staff, took advantage of the poor surveillance by managing to climb over a couple of fences in the “walking” area, the one dedicated to moments in the open air, on the Cpa side (the first reception centre). First they climbed up
using a pole as support, they then climbed over a driveway gate. SThey were seen taking the subway to the Bisceglie line 1 stationwhich is located a few hundred meters from the prison.

De Fazio added that “A search is underway by agents and other law enforcement agencies”. “We need a prison decree immediately to secure the system, especially with extraordinary and accelerated hiring in the penitentiary police force, which is missing more than 18 thousand units,” he underlines in a note from the union.
