Swordfish Festival in Aci Trezza – 14, 15, 16 June.
XXXIII edition Sswordfish farm of San Giovanni in Acitrezza which will be repeated on 19-20-21 July 2024. Cherry and rose festival in Macchia di Giarre – 14, 15, 16 June
Traditional Cherry and Rose Festival on 14, 15 and 16 June 2024 to Giarre stainin province of Catania. The Giarre festival, established during the 1950s, takes its inspiration from an ancient rural festival that took place during the cherry harvest. In fact, in the province of Catania, and more particularly in the Fondo Macchia area, there is one of the most fruitful cherry cultivations in all of Sicily. Cherry festival in Montagnareale – June 16th
Event dedicated to the delicious spring fruit. Folklore, shows, local, artisanal and gastronomic traditions. Different varieties of cherries are produced in the Montagnareale area, and the most widespread is called the Paradise cherry, with a very sweet taste and soft pulp, which ripens between May and June. Among the other cherry cultivars typical of Montagnareale are Marzola, Vignola, Capuccia and Maiolina and also Amarena with which they prepare jams and syrups.

Vastedda cu Sammucu festival in Troina – 15 and 16 June
There Vastedda cu sammucu it is a typical focaccia from Troina stuffed with you but And homemade salami and embellished with perfumes elderflowers, will be the undisputed protagonist of the event. This dish, a symbol of devotion and tradition, is an integral part of “New Year’s Eve Party”, the religious folkloristic event held every year between May and June. Cefalù Pizza Fest – 14, 15, 16 June
First edition of Cefalù Pizza Fest at Lungomare Giardina, a gastronomic event organized by the Demetra association which is part of the national tour “Non Solo Pizza in tour”. There are 15 stations set up managed by local and renowned pizza chefs Neapolitan master pizza chefs from the Neapolitan Pizza Chef Academy (APP). This collaboration will ensure a wide variety of tastes and flavors, from the flavors of the classic margherita to gourmet specialties contaminated by Neapolitan and Sicilian traditions. But not just pizza, at the Cefalù Pizza Fest there will be stands dedicated to fried pizza and Sicilian and Neapolitan confectionery specialties which will give a further opportunity to delight the palate.
Catania Vintage Market in Piazza Scammacca – 15 and 16 June
Scammacca Square hosts the Vintage Market, an unmissable opportunity for vintage lovers. It will be possible to take a dive into the fashion of the past with an event dedicated to all those who are passionate, want to give fashionable and sustainable gifts, buy only unique pieces from times gone by or have chosen to opt for an eco-friendly lifestyle. The Theater in Piazza Scammacca will be the lounge of the Vintage Market organized in collaboration with Riciclemi and Cool Lalla. Thanks to the presence of a group passionate about vintage sellers, we will experience two days dedicated to vintage and second hand with garments and accessories from luxury brands and others.

The Sant’Antuninu Festival in Scicli – until Sunday 16 June
Until Sunday 16 June, the first edition of the “Sant’Antuninu Festival” is staged in via Aleardi in Scicli to celebrate and revitalize one of the most fascinating areas of the city through a series of cultural, artistic and gastronomic initiatives. Fiction, visual art, Sicilian music and cuisine, in an unprecedented combination of tradition and experimentation. Four days of art, music and tradition. The days of Friday 14th and Saturday 15th are dedicated to the gastronomic experience of Pane di Sant’Antonio: several local chefs reinterpret this symbol of southern tradition, combining ancient and innovative flavors in an explosion of taste to the sound of music. The Festival culminates on Sunday 16th in the “Lunch of Miracles”, a popular culinary event that begins at 1.13pm (in honor of the Tredicina di Sant’Antonio) in which four chefs surprisingly interpret the miracles of Sant’Antonio through their culinary creations.
In Ragusa “At full volume” books in the square – Until June 16th
“A Tutto Volume” celebrates its 15th edition and returns to liven up the squares of Marina di Ragusa, Ragusa and Ragusa Ibla until June 16th, celebrating a special edition together with the readers. Among the guests of this edition who will liven up the historic center of Ragusa until June 16th: Stefania Andreoli, Viola Ardone, Luciano Canfora, Giobbe Covatta, Carlo Massarini, Giancarlo De Cataldo, Michele Masneri, Pegah Moshir Pour, Paolo Nori, Sigfrido Ranucci and Giorgio Vallortigara. Closing the Festival on Sunday 16 June will be the journalist Francesca Fagnani, with her novel Mala di lei. Criminal Rome (Sem) in dialogue with Antonio Pascale. Four days of meetings, shows, lessons and debates that will occupy the enchanting spaces of the Sicilian baroque city, involving a larger audience every year.
Among the many proposals is the literary show by Paolo Nori What are Russians for, the first classical music lesson held by Nicola Campogrande, the biography of Marguerite Yourcenar, told by Eugenio Murrali, the meeting with Sergio Rizzo on the privileges of Italian politicians and a reflection on language with Yasmina Pani. Among the meetings, the one with the human and digital rights activist Pegah Moshir Pour with her novel The Night Over Tehran, the presentation of Giuseppe Culicchia’s latest book, and the meeting with the actor Ninni Bruschetta to talk about his novel The school of silence. Guests of the festival will also be Giobbe Covatta and Paola Catella with the two-handed book Il commosso traveller. Other appointments include the one with Carlo Massarini and his book Vivo dal vivo 2010-2023 in which he recounts over one hundred concerts experienced and photographed. The composer Nicola Campogrande will be at Full Volume for an open classical music lesson, which will be possible to attend for free.
