The former councilor Terenziano Di Stefano, leading a coalition that at the end of the first round found itself with four lists below the threshold and three that instead respected the predictions, already on Monday, once the ballot had taken place, began working to understand whether there will be room for maneuver to reach structured agreements. He and his coalition maintain contact with all the mayoral candidates who stopped in the first round. The former councilor would like to start again from what was the political agora, so as to probe the intentions of both Filippo Franzone (whom he has already met as well as the engineer Cosentino) and Miguel Donegani, and with the list of the “PeR” laboratory he obtained the pass for the civic assembly. Franzone has set programmatic priorities and will consult with him. Donegani has never looked favorably on the aggregation that Di Stefano supports, considering it too hybrid and without a true centre-left position. However, the former Ars parliamentarian does not rule out the solution of not committing to the run-off, at least officially. Even among the ranks of those who support the former deputy mayor, the alliance hypothesis is not popular and no one seems willing to give up the electoral efforts made, perhaps to give space to lists of other parties. “Alliance for Gela” remains an option, even a rather relevant one. Can Di Stefano and Scerra, in these five years on opposite sides, sign a pact of the forty-year-olds for a city government, also of civic inspiration? It is inevitable that Di Stefano is evaluating together with his allies, starting with the dem, the grillini and the civics (his real starting point).
