As the last strokes echo in the waters of the municipal swimming pool, the curtain closes on the swimming meeting of the city of Cosenza, leaving behind a trail of broken records and new talents discovered.
The event, which saw the participation of athletes from different regions, proved to be a triumph of sporting spirit and competitive excellence.
The competition, which lasted three days, was characterized by moments of intense emotion and extraordinary performances, with the swimmers giving their all to reach the podium. The city of Cosenza proved to be an excellent host, offering cutting-edge facilities and a warm welcome that made the experience unforgettable for athletes and spectators.
Among the highlights of the meeting, the men’s and women’s 100 meter freestyle races stand out, where we witnessed record times and heart-pounding competition. The young local talents had the opportunity to compete with national-level athletes, showing that the future of Cosenza swimming is in excellent hands.
Poseidon Swim SSD won the club ranking with 1043.50 points; thanks to a massive presence, especially of rookies. On the podium, clearly behind, Acli Arvalia Nuoto Lamezia, second with 586.00 points and Unime SSD, third with 562.00 points.
Close to the podium are the hosts AQA Cosenza Nuoto with 349.50 points. Then, followed by Olimpica Salentina (284), Circolo Canottieri Aniene (221), Calabria Swim Race (188), Kroton Nuoto (137), Icos Sporting Club (137) and in tenth place Ranidae CSSD (124).
The success of this meeting is the result of teamwork involving organizers, volunteers, coaches and, of course, the athletes. Special thanks go to the sponsors who supported the event, helping to make it a point of reference for regional and national swimming. But also to the regional Fin which, with the precious contribution of president Alfredo Porcaro.
With the promise of meeting again next year for an even more exciting new edition, Cosenza says goodbye to its guests, wishing all swimmers future success and inviting them to continue pursuing their sporting dreams with the same passion and dedication shown in these days.
