The Moncalieri couples who married in 1974 will participate in a beautiful party at the Moncalieri castle on Saturday 15 June. There are around a hundred spouses who accepted the Municipality’s invitation to celebrate the Golden Wedding anniversary collectively.
For the occasion, the La Città e l’Arte association, which has been organizing the event for twelve years, has launched a rich program.
“The couples celebrating will be welcomed on the majestic Piazza d’Armi of the castle – announces Barbara Casto, creator of the big party project and head of the La Città e L’Arte association – Then they will take their places in the Cavallerizza where the official ceremony will be held, which will have special floral decorations proposed by the historic Saracco nurseries”. There will be a religious celebration, official speeches by the Mayor Paolo Montagna and the Councilor for Demographic Services, Michele Morabito, and the screening of a docufilm, made by Eleonora Meazza, on the major events that occurred in 1974, the year in which the couples got together they are married. The documentary will end with the image of the wedding of the different couples, with the images of that happy day provided by the protagonists themselves to the organization.
Leading the different phases of the event, including interviews with the personalities present, will be the journalist Clara Vercelli, a well-known and expert presenter of various television programmes.
So the Golden Wedding event will become a fun party with music performances proposed by maestro Cardellicchio’s group and dance with spectacular choreographies interpreted by the Moncalieri Ballet.
The big party, which also includes the creation of photographic sets and the delivery of confetti and parchments, will end with a rich and delicious dinner, based on local products, with the inevitable final cutting of the cake. The castle opens its doors to this eagerly awaited and well-attended event, thanks to the availability of the Piedmont Carabinieri Regiment and its commander, Colonel Fabio Federici.
On Wednesday, which is also the media partner of the event this year, in the next edition on 19 June it will publish an extensive reportage of the party with images of the couples celebrating, created exclusively by the photographic studio Salvatore Cisano, which will also take care of the video footage of the event. event.
