Barletta is targeting Favarin for the bench
The Barletta has started planning what will be the 2024/2025 sports season, the first step concerns the choice of the coach to whom to entrust the red and white bench.
According to what our editorial team gathered, the club would have contacted Giancarlo Favarin. The former Livorno coach would have expressed approval for the Apulian club’s project.
The negotiation is at an advanced stage but the coach took a few days to understand Barletta’s chances of repechage in Serie D.
If the repechage does not occur, the negotiation would be more complicated. However, it cannot be ruled out that the coach could still accept the job even in the event of Excellence.
Barletta’s last season
Barletta’s last year is certainly not one that will leave positive memories for the red and white fans. After an exciting summer transfer market thanks to the arrival of important players for the category and the intention of having a top championship, the championship did not live up to expectations.
Indeed, the year ended as badly as it could have. The team has suffered continuous defeats and changed several coaches. The red and white club was unable to find the right team to get back on top and the club sank to the bottom of the table, concluding the season with a painful relegation to Eccellenza.
