Return, neighborhood bar and cuisine, the new all day long in Acerra

Two of the members of the Laboratorio Folkloristico launch themselves into the new adventure of a place open from morning to evening, with an adjoining amphitheater

A historic complex from the 19th century, the Palartewhich comes back to life Acerra, a stone’s throw from Naples. Here a group of entrepreneurs is creating a real ecosystem, which combines hospitality, taste and culture. The fulcrum of the project is the new all day long born from the mind of Vincenzo Pagliara and Francesco Manna, two of the trio of the Folkloristic Laboratory of Pomigliano d’Arcowho also involved in the project Biagio Castiello, who will be the bar manager, and Roberta Della Magna, as general manager.

Return, bar and neighborhood cuisine is the name with an attached payoff of this new adventure, which was born precisely from the need to return to focusing on the territory (Acerra is also the municipality of birth of Pagliara). “Will be a bar with kitchen open from 7 am to 2 am, with a café based on specialty coffees, which are new for this area, a bistro and cocktail bar service that kicks things off from aperitif time onwards. All combined with a cultural imprint that will take advantage of the spaces of theamphitheaterin front of the garden area: «We are working on season of eventsfrom music to stand up comedy”, anticipates Pagliara.

For the cafeteria part, with American diner style sofas, there will be rotating specialtiessupported for daily by a basic blend of 70% Arabica and 30% Robusta, in Neapolitan stylewhich will make use of one XLVI Steam Workers machine: «It is a single-arm machine – adds Pagliara – mounted on the bench in sight, so as to emphasize the relationship with the guest». The coffees in line will change from month to month and will be extracted in filter, cold brew and aeropress modes.

The spaces are important, over 200 square meters of indoor room, to which are added the outdoor spaces, therefore the counter area is also important: «A half island overlooking the garden, with two front stations that will serve standing people. It adds to this a tap facility with five cocktails on tap made by us and a beer.” And speaking of stations, there was also “a DJ table for music, a vinyl shop with records selected by us, dedicated to those who have a passion for music and want to have fun playing them”.

There is also one experience area, which is probably the crown jewel of the project: «A station designed by us that will serve a total of twelve people in cocktail tasting courses in chef’s table mode. The courses will have 4, 6 or 8 courses: a real liquid tasting menu».

The last mention deserves it brand identity, centered on stonesthe result of a co-planning with theOrme consultancy agency: «The concept is the result of a brainstorming process, built in a workshop with design students, led by two trainers. Everyone made his proposals and we all had the same voting power, including us members: we were convinced that giving the same weight to everyone would bring out the best and we were not disappointed.”
