L’Aquila will host the regional skateboard championship. Appointment Sunday, June 30 at the Maureane Fraty skatepark from 9:00 to 19:00.
After the successes of the previous years of the national and regional skateboard championships of the Italian Roller Sports Federation (Fisr), this event is also part of the rich calendar of the project “L’Aquila Grows with sport 2024” promoted and financed by the Municipality and the Abruzzo Region together with other local sponsors.
Three categories will compete at the “Maurane Fraty” skatepark: Junior (8-13 years), Open (8 years and over), Master (35 years and over) for men and women. The championship is organized by Endas Hope Asd – which has been part of the FISR family for years – thanks to the support of the Feel It skateshop, with the aim of spreading board sports – specifically skateboarding – and to make the structure (Skatepark Pubblico Maurane Fraty) even more known, built with funds raised by the ultras of Aquila Calcio, thanks to the support of the curves of the Italian football teams and the support of the Municipality of L’Aquila, after the dramatic event that hit the city in 2009.
The debate will be held in conjunction with the sporting event “Skateboarding as an art in music, fashion and street art” where prominent figures in the skateboarding field will participate not only on a sporting level but also on a musical, fashion and artistic level.
