Foggia. “A man who made his passion for sport and respect for his principles one of the main reasons for his life”. With these words, the sports councilor of the Municipality of Foggia, Domenico di Molfetta, in unison with the Mayor Episcopo and the entire municipal administration of Foggia, expressed his condolences for the passing away of the prof. Pippo Troito, which occurred in the early hours of this morning.
“For those like me who come from the world of athletics, it has been for years, together with prof. Luigi Colella, a fundamental reference. For this reason we intend to send an affectionate thought to the family at this sad moment.”
In his youth, a talented middle-distance runner, Pippo Troito was among the first people from Foggia to wear the blue shirt of the national team.
A teacher at the school, he has for years also put his expertise at the service of athletes and clubs in other sports disciplines, from football to tennis. Sport was also at the center of his entrepreneurial activity, always attentive to the needs of the territory.
