Savona. Danila Satragno, Neri Marcorè, Fabrizio Moro and the Eugenios in via di Gioia they will be in Savona on the occasion of the Thursdays in July, renamed from last year “Savona downtown music festival”.
“The festival – is illustrated in the resolution approved this morning by the council – will begin on July 4th with an evening with Danila Satragno dedicated to Fabrizio De Andrè, a collective heritage that has marked the new routes of storytelling in music and which is the port of our community . It will continue on July 11th with Neri Marcorè, which marks new routes and plurality of artistic languages in the wake of the musical tradition linked to Italian songwriting. Finally Fabrizio Moro (18 July) and Eugenio In Via Di Gioia (25 July). Two new paths of thought, commitment, for two generations that are close and intersect”.
“It is the intention of the Administration – we read further – to propose, as part of the programming of the summer 2024 events, a 360-degree artistic season spread across the entire territory, from the Priamar Fortress to the City Center, from the Darsena to the Lungomare passing through the Districts, up to the Sanctuary, raising the quality of the events with a project that can attract tourism and an intergenerational public with the aim of gradually creating a stronger identity and recognisability of the city outside the regional borders and which develops its tourism potential” .
Summer 2024 will be characterized by the same theme identified for Savona’s candidacy project as the Italian capital of culture “New routes for culture” with “a project that can attract tourists and audiences of all ages and gradually create a stronger and more recognizable identity for the city outside the regional borders and develop its tourism potential”.
In addition to the traditional “Thursdays in July”, events are scheduled on the Priamar (“Cinema in Fortezza” and “Lyrical contaminations festival 2024”), in the city center (“Words found in the sea” And “Economics Literary Festival” organized respectively by the Ubik and Feltrinelli bookshops).
At the Sanctuary of Savona there will be one review of concerts and events aimed at enhancing the Sanctuary: 22 June a concert by the Savona Symphony Orchestra as part of the Voxonus festival, 2-3 July jazz concert by the Raindogs Association; on 24 July and 7 September concerts with Carlo Aonzo as part of the 2024 International Mandolin Festival.
From 30 August to 1 September at the Prolungamento a mare the cultural and sporting event “Savona Street Fest”.
