CARRARA. A special gift for all Carrarese fans, with The Tyrrhenian Sea on Saturday 15 June, but only on newsstands in the municipality of Carrara: the poster celebrating the extraordinary promotion of Carrarese to Serie B. A collector’s poster, highlighting, in addition to the photos of the team and the fans, also the date destined to pass to history, that is, 9 June 2024, the day in which the Italian team conquered a Serie B that had been missing for 76 years, the last match in June 1948, a heavy defeat against Udinese.

Immediately the following year, in 1948-49, Carrarese came close to returning to the cadets, but lost the second play-off against Prato (the first ended 3-3, at the time a replay of the match was scheduled). Subsequently, in the early 1980s, a historic third place behind Triestina and Padova and, more recently, in July 2020, the semi-final in Bari lost a few minutes from penalties, or even the double challenge in the playoffs with Pisa (2019), all dress rehearsals of the deserved triumph achieved against Vicenza. A triumph that The Tyrrhenian Sea celebrate with the free poster, as mentioned, on Saturday 15 June.
