Gallarate: Fabio Treves’ blues harmonica at Maga

Tonight at 9.00 pm, the outdoor arena of the MA*GA Museum in Gallarate (VA) hosts the concert by Fabio Treves, one of the eminences of Italian blues.

The appointment, included in the ARCHIVIFUTURI programme. Festival of Contemporary Archives and part of the Summer music festival at HIC MA*GA MAJNO 2024, will see the Treves Blues Band – Fabio Treves, harmonica, vocals; Alex “Kid” Gariazzo, guitars, vocals; Massimo Serra: drums, percussion; Gabriele “Gab D” Dellepiane: bass – celebrating the first fifty years of his career, interpreting his best-known songs.

In the 1960s Fabio Treves began to blow blues into a small but fascinating instrument like the mouth organ. In 1974 he founded his band, the Treves Blues Band, and began his passionate and incessant commitment to the dissemination of the blues, becoming the point of reference of the national blues scene.
Treves, nicknamed the Puma of Lambrate, participates in the most important festivals and musical events throughout Italy. Throughout his career his harmonica has been present in the records of famous Italian artists, such as Branduardi, Cocciante, Vecchioni, Bertoli, Elio e le Storie tese, Finardi, Graziani, Shapiro, Baccini, Giorgio Conte, Grignani, Ferradini and others.
The Treves Blues Band supported great artists, including Deep Purple on their Italian tour and Bruce Springsteen at the Circo Massimo in Rome.

The appointments with Summer music at the HIC MA*GA MAJNO 2024 continue on Saturday 22 June, at 9.00 pm, in the Sala Arazzi Ottavio Missoni of the MA*GA, with the concert of the Iberian Duo (Giacomo Arfacchia, clarinet and Nicolas Bourdoncle, piano ) curated by the Gallarate Prize and organized by the G. Rossini ETS Musical Association which will propose an engaging interpretation of works by contemporary composers from the mid-twentieth century to the present day, therefore Saturday 29 June, at 9.30 pm, with Atelier Latin Jazz (Nelson Betancourt Duarte, piano; Rodney Barreto, percussion and timbales; Francesco Manzoni, trumpet; Mario Caccia, bass; 9.00 pm, with Progetto Verdi, a symphonic opera concert organized by Città di Gallarate with the European Philharmonic Orchestra of Gallarate and the Ambrosiana Lirica Choir, and Saturday 13 July 9.00 pm, with Un pianista sull’oceano, concert promoted by Città di Gallarate with Lorenzo Bovitutti on piano and the Placard Quintet of the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
