The Amateur Mountain Tournament is already ready with the second round. Group A is on the field today with the match between Baiso and Villa Minozzo: the big teams will be played in Baiso at 9.15pm, with match direction entrusted to Mirco Pasquale Nese, assisted by Enrico Lusetti and Lauro Redeghieri. The Giovanissimi on the pitch at 8pm: referee of the dispute Carmelo Abissino. Returning to the Amateurs: interesting match between two teams who won on their debut, and therefore find themselves tied at the top with three points, while they are forced to chase Felina and Spqm Montecavolo, defeated on the first day.
It’s too early to talk about qualification, but a possible victory for one of the two would mean full points after two races, and a huge injection of confidence to secure the pass for the next phase. Two teams that have several players with intertwined careers or in any case with many shared experiences. Bomber Daniele Barozzi, a real Baisano and spearhead of the yellow-blue team, always plays for Baiso in the winter, and next year in the Promotion he will have as his teammate Nicola Banzi, a defender or midfielder who will be in the Villa Minozzo ranks tonight. Companions but also adversaries, therefore. Just one of the many plots: to name another, among Villa Minozzo’s choices there could be the imagination of Yassir Zaoui, an attacking midfielder who knows the Baiso environment very well having played for many years in the winter with this team.
Before these twists and turns, however, the Giovanissimi were on stage in Baiso: identical situation, with the two teams making their debut with a success in the first round.
Meanwhile the Montagna Juniores has started. In group A, an excellent debut for Casina who beat the favorite Borzanese 2-1. Deserved success with goals from Savoretti and Taullau, punctuated by a momentary equalizer from Bertolini. Only 1-1 draw between Montalto and Cervarezza: for the first goals by Gambetti, for “Cerva” Bertolani scored. The remaining match in group A for the first round, i.e. Cerrè Sologno-Carpineti, will be played on Friday 21 June (in Casina). Let’s move on to group B. Gambarelli decided with a goal his Baiso’s victory over Sport Club Casina (1-0).
Striking draw in the derby of the municipality of Castelnovo Monti between Gatta and Castelnovo Capitale. The match ended 2-2, a result that was valid based on what we saw on the pitch, even if Gatta hit a post and Castelnovo had a great scoring opportunity at the start. Zannoni scored goals for Gatta (two), Velardi and Lucino scored for Castelnovo. Finally, an important triumph for ABC Canossa over Roteglia, two interesting teams who want to reach the end. For Canossa goals from Terzi and Fiola, while for Roteglia the seal has the signature of Khalili.
