More technology and at the same time more simplicity. Starting from July 1st 2024, the electronic ticket will arrive on Sun vehicles in the city of Novara and the province thanks to the new application, available both on the App Store and on Google Play, which is called “Sun Noè”. The innovations were presented at the press conference on Tuesday 25 June in the Municipality with the administration, Sun and Pluriservice which collaborated in the realization of the project.
The ticket
Going in order, the electronic ticket is a blue card that can be recharged for up to 10 tickets or with a carnet; all tickets can also be used together (for example a family of four can use four tickets from the same card) and when they run out the card must be recharged at the Sun ticket office in via Garibaldi or at authorized resellers. Paper tickets will be sold until 31 October and then usable until 31 December 2024. In these months, as announced during the press conference, information campaigns will be organised, including in schools, so as to inform the entire population. The choice to eliminate paper is also with a view to seeing an increasingly green Novara.
The new application
“Sun Noè” allows you to purchase virtual tickets and passes by skipping the queues, then allows you to plan your trip and calculate the best route and find out the fare (which remains unchanged compared to now) with the “solution search” function by entering the departure address and of arrival. The App also allows you to view the arrival times of the bus you are interested in and to purchase the ticket for the selected trip. Furthermore, in the coming months, two additional purchase methods will be introduced, credit card and validated receipt.
Beep card
The Bip card is also new with the new App. Anyone who already has one will be able to use it until it expires and request a new one for free upon completion.
