Yesterday, through a note, we learned that the Ecology and Environment Service of the 3rd sector “Services to the City and Businesses” of the Municipality of Mazara del Vallo has arranged that from Monday 17th to Thursday 20th June it will be carried out, through the Mazara company Tecnoenergia , a new cycle of rodent control interventions in the municipal area of Mazara del Vallo after those started at the end of February and continued in the months of April and May. No particular precautions are foreseen for the population. Furthermore, from 24 to 26 June the disinfestation interventions started in February will also continue; Although the products used are not harmful to health, it is recommended to be prudent during the three nights of disinfestation to avoid keeping windows open and exposing linen in front of them.
This is certainly good news. However, we want to underline that in recent months many citizens have reported to us the lack of weeding in many streets of different areas/neighborhoods of the city, highlighting the presence of tall wild vegetation at the edges of the sidewalks, lush bushes that line the streets, even those most frequented on foot. or in the car, a receptacle for insects of all kinds; in many cases there are situations of real degradation. It is hoped that as soon as possible, once the new Administration has been installed, workers in the public green sector will be able to intervene through an adequate program of interventions in order to prevent the worsening of hygienic-health conditions, also due to the high temperatures.
