“We will turn the boot.” And it will be exactly like this, as the words of one of the choruses of the Amaranth fans say. With the promotion to A2 of both Libertas Livorno that Del Fes Avellino has in fact completed the scoreboard of the twenty teams that will participate in the second national championship for the 2024-25 season. And it will be a tournament full of trips to cities that have made the history of national basketball over the years.
From Fortitudo Bologna to Pallacanestro Cantù, passing through Victoria Libertas Pesaro, Rinascita Basket Rimini and Scaligera Verona. Just to name a few, with several well-known faces – including those from Livorno – characterizing what already in the aftermath of Libertas’ jump to A2 is shaping up to be a year worth experiencing. On the Rimini bench is Sandro Dell’Agnello from Livorno, as well as Luca Bechi (Cremona) and Alessandro Ramaglia (Scaligera Verona). A great tournament, the first day of which is scheduled for Sunday 29 September. Also on the road is coach Marco Cardani, until a few days ago coach of Pielle Livorno.

Single group of 20 teams, first match of the first round on Sunday 29 September. The opponents
The qualifying phase will take place in a single group of 20 teams, the first place will make the direct jump to Serie A, those from eighth to thirteenth will be admitted to the play in and will meet for 2 places in the playoffs, a phase in which they will participate also the teams classified from second to seventh place. The winner will go to Serie A. The teams ranked from 16th to 19th will enter the play outs, and the two losers will be relegated to national Serie B. First match Sunday 29 September, end of the second round on Sunday 5 January. Then the return from January 12th to April 27th.
