ANCONA – It was announced today XXVI AlmaLaurea Report on the profile of female and male graduates which analyzed the educational performance and employment conditions of 78 universities. The Polytechnic University of Marche, the 2024 Report attests, confirms the employment status of its male and female graduates which is positive and above the national average. Furthermore, the student component of the University is very satisfied with the training course.

As regards employment status, among second level graduates interviewed one year after obtaining the qualification, the employment rate was 86.1% against a national average of 75.7%. The employment rate grows for those interviewed five years after obtaining the qualification, and is equal to 92.4% against a national average of 88.2%. UnivPM is therefore among the best universities for employment rate in Italy.

«It is a good result which, on the one hand, gratifies us for the work done so far but, on the other hand, also pushes us to improve so that the University reflects increasingly on its role in the socio-economic context – comments the rector Prof. Gian Luca Gregori –. The University can be an increasingly effective tool for our young men and women, a functional tool that manages to bring together different needs and perspectives, between those seeking and those offering work.”

Those employed 5 years after graduation employed with a permanent contract are 56.6%, while those employed with a fixed-term contract are 8%. 17.1% run their own business. Part-time work involves 4.3% of employed people. Salaries reach an average of 1,866 euros net per month.

But where do they go to work? 69.3% of graduates are employed in the private sector, while 30.3% in the public sector; 0.4% work in the non-profit sector. The services sector absorbs 64.5%, while industry accounts for 34.1% of those employed; 1.2% of those working in the agricultural sector.

Finally, the 93.2% of graduates is declared satisfied with the university experience as a whole.

Among the opportunities that the Polytechnic University of Marche offers to the student component there are all the activities that the service Job Placement makes available to create a direct bridge with the world of work. Among the tools made available is the Almalaurea portal, customized for the University. Furthermore, meetings with organizations and companies, training seminars and the Job Service Day are organized throughout the year, paying ever greater attention to the development of soft skills and the coordination of entrepreneurship projects such as the Contamination Lab, Business in the Classroom, Learning by Doing and many others.
