Protagonist of last weekend in Imolain particular on Saturday 8 June, the fourth edition of Suzuki Bike Day. To participate in the now very successful bicycle festival, yes 2,817 people, who brought enthusiasm, passion and a spirit of challenge along the roads of Romagna. Pedal lovers experienced a day in a suggestive context, in the name of passion for cycling and active life in the open air, all in total safety and with theobjective of being of help to the Dynamo Camp, a structure that helps sick children.

All participants, dressed in the yellow shirt which paid homage to the fourth edition and celebrated the Tour de France, they faced the lasts 54 km starting from the Imola Autodromo route, the route of the 2020 Cycling World Championships, and some of the passages that will be included in the second stage of the 2024 Tour De France.

Participants and activities

For the occasion, there was no shortage of many stars belonging to the world of sport: Davide Cassani, sports director and president of the Emilia Romagna Tourist Promotion Company, the voices of cycling Giada Borgato, Giovanni Visconti and Luca Gregorio, a large representation of Italian athletes from the FISG – Italian Ice Sports Federation among which we remember the multi-medallisted Charléne Guignard and Marco Fabbri and the Olympians Francesca Lollobrigida, Stefania Constantini, a representation of FITri athletes – Italian Triathlon Federation Asia Mercatelli, Angelica Prestia, Alessandro Saravalle, and Sharon Spimi, the multi-title rally champion Renato Travaglia and Andrea Pusateri, paracyclist.

In parallel to the Suzuki Bike Day of the greats, in the same period, the 2nd Suzuki Bike Day Junioran event created specifically for very young people aged 6 to 14, who participated in various activities, including the contest “Draw what the bicycle represents for you”, and tried their hand at a non-competitive and non-timed cycle route set up with educational purpose.

Furthermore, thanks to the generosity of the many participants, it was delivered to Dynamo Camp, the first Recreational Therapy camp established in Italy for children suffering from serious or chronic pathologies that we were talking about earlier, a total of 16,275 Euros.
