Nothing has been done in the tender of the province of Foggia in favor of the activation of a summer maritime line between Manfredonia and the Tremiti Islands.
After acknowledging that only the operator Ct Peschici Srl participated in the procedure – already awarded the service in the Gargano Metro Marine joint venture together with the company A.Galli & Figlio Srl in the past – the commission excluded the operator as the documentation presented highlighted some shortcomings. More in detail, a requirement set in the tender was to have obtained contracts for similar services in the previous three years and with a unit amount of at least 300 thousand euros, while Ct Peschici Srl in its offer would have presented contracts, as principal in the joint venture, in which it had participation rates of 20% (for 2022) and 45% (for 2023).
The support of the Puglia Region in favor of the activation of a summer maritime line between Manfredonia and the Tremiti Islands, managed by the Province of Foggia, amounted to 398,904.55 euros (of which 332,420.46 can be reduced), to support the start-up of an active connection for two months. Even in 2023, the first attempt to award the service ended in nothing, while the second was successful. It is therefore probable that, as done last year, the province will soon try to launch a new procedure with the aim of assigning him before the scheduled departure, set by the tender now concluded on July 1st.
