From the sanctuary of La Verna, in Tuscany, to Lake Piediluco, in the province of Terniis the path followed by Lino Zani And Giulia Capocchi, that cross theUmbria in the footsteps of Saint Francis, in the episode of Green Line Trails Summer “Special walks” which will be broadcast Saturday 15 June on Rai1, at 12.30.
Along the Via di Francescoa historical itinerary on the trail of the “poor man of Assisi”, the hosts will stop to learn about the Museum of the diary of Pieve Santo Stefanoa place of memory where letters from the front, collections of letters and written testimonies from every era are collected.
In Citernain the province of Perugiayou need to visit the Benedictine monastery, while at Pieve di Saddi in Città di Castello and Gubbio the volunteers will talk about the welcome given to pilgrims along the Franciscan path. An itinerary that can also be traveled on horseback, as shown by the riders encountered along the bridle path of Valfabbrica.
From the National Gallery of Umbria in Perugia the art historian Costantino D’Orazio will talk about Saint Francis in medieval iconography.
