Civitavecchia, 13 April 2024 – He is a Trapker, halfway between trapper and rapper, who sings about a utopian “Nova Roma”, a city of peace and freedom. Is known as “Electric Devil” or more simply “Elecktrike”. But despite his stage name he talks about peace, freedom, brotherhood and equality: “I don’t know why electricity. It’s something that has belonged to me – he tells us – since I was a child, it’s an element that I feel is mine. I chose to differentiate the double name because Eletrik might not be suitable for an Italian audience”
Outside of his stage name, he is Simone Pezzotti, 28 years old, born in Civitavecchia, adopted at the age of 4. But he is also an actor, performer, musical and television personality.
“I play a lot in Rome – he continues – despite an experience also had in Milan. In 2019 I was rejected to perform in Sanremo, during the semi-finals. It was because of my look, too eccentric.”
His latest work is “Roma Trema”: “The song begins by talking about sleep paralysis; during paralysis I see an alien. And it is from here that Roma trema was born, a city at the center of many energies but also one new cityfinally rebuilt with the ideals of Peace, Equality and Freedom following the Excelsior (the new religion invented by Elecktrike)”.
He recently released an album “Icona Del Fulmine” in which he talks about brotherhood, freedom and equality and in which he claims to be the messiah as in the song “Cristo 2000”. And in the song “I am different” he sings in the chorus: “I would like a world without the need for soldiers, carabinieri and criminals, I would only like a world in which socializing with others is normal and living well and I’m about to do so”.
