The Center for Families of Cesena and the So.Stare Service of the Union of Valle Savio Municipalities and ASP Cesena Valle Savio, are launching a new initiative aimed at parents and children with the aim of creating further opportunities for dialogue and discussion that bring to center the emotions. This is the new path “My parents are separating…and me?” which offers girls and boys, girls and boys children of separated or separating parents, the opportunity to compare themselves with peers who experience similar situations.
The girls and boys will be welcomed into a welcoming space where they can discuss important issues and the emotions that their children feel during the transformation of their family. Through words, drawings and games, the project aims to find ways to become familiar with the changes, express feelings and emotions, improve dialogue with parents.
The meetings will take place in groups of 6-8 children aged 6-11 and 12-17 and include: an information meeting aimed at parents; four group meetings of two hours each on a weekly basis. In the second hour of the fourth meeting, parents will also be able to participate. To conclude, a final meeting will be held with each parental couple.
