PESARO – Scammers always at work, discovered and chased away.
The wave of scams continues. There was also an attempt the other evening Villa Ceccolini but the agents of the flying squad of the Pesaro police headquarters managed to report two criminals. These are two criminals from Campania, a man and a woman aged 44 and 45, already subject to an obligation to stay in Naples because in recent weeks they had pulled off another scam.
The script is always the same, so much so that they called an elderly lady pretending that her son was in prison because he had caused a serious accident and they needed money and jewels to free him.
The alarmed woman prepared everything she needed with cash and gold jewelry and headed towards the court. But the two stopped her in time and intercepted her. However, the lady returned home and the criminals followed her. The woman met her husband and asked him to monitor the car which was full of money and gold because she would have to hand it over to the police.
The husband immediately understood that it was a scam and when he saw the two scammers, who were anything but policemen, he started screaming, scaring them away.
They immediately reported it to the police who set out on their trail. Thanks to the intelligence activity on the vehicle, the flying squad agents managed to intercept the two and report them free for attempted fraud. The expulsion order was issued and a worsening of the precautionary measure was requested.
The other day a similar episode and since the beginning of the year the scams have already led to arrests and complaints.
The police recommend maximum alert and not to open to strangers.
