PORDENONE – The passing of the hammer of the Pordenone Naonis Lions club took place in the hall of the Pordenone Workers’ Society, an event that officially marks the handover between the 2023-2024 president Marco Buttazzi and the new president Louis Hazen.
Present were the councilor for social services Guglielmina Cucci, the president of the second Lions constituency of District 108 ta2 Elis Fusari, representatives of various voluntary associations and Lions friends.
The outgoing president offered a summary of the activities carried out in different areas: supporting national and international initiatives through the search for funds, offering cultural and educational initiatives, guaranteeing healthy nutrition by providing food both through food collection and through the donation of shopping vouchers , save sight through donations of used glasses, enhance young people, protect the environment by safeguarding bees, support children with cancer and their families.
Projects carried out with the spirit of true collaboration with institutions and others, together with the municipal administration, the Satellite Musica per la solidarità club, the charity partner Fondazione Mediolanum, the voluntary associations Ensemble Fadiesis, Ensemble Armonia, Farandola, Il Capitello, Famiglie diabetics from the province of Pordenone, the Italian Red Cross, Fidapa, the Inner Wheel club, the Soroptimist international club of Pn, the Rotary club of Pn, the G. Verdi musical cultural club of Fontanafredda, the Cordenons music school, the Vestire Sorelle Ramonda companies, Realcable, Ricci Group, Dhf Italia, Ars Distribuzione and Tecfor.
He also underlined the large influx of public and the generosity of the Gala of Music and Solidarity Opening Barrock, from baroque to artificial intelligence, held in the G. Verdi Theater in Pordenone, coordinated by the president of the Satellite Music for Solidarity club Marco Galvi and by the artistic director Gianni Fassetta.
“An example of teamwork in favor of solidarity,” said Buttazzi, “which with the donations made it possible to achieve the set objective of contributing to the creation of a welcoming environment for the waiting room of the pediatric radiotherapy area of the Cro di Aviano”.
Incoming president Louis Hazen said, “I will continue to strengthen Lion programs with enthusiasm and we will look for new members who can help our community.” He then introduced the new team: Marco Buttazzi, Maria Grazia Formentini, Luca Licata, Silvia Masci, Ludovica Menegolo Giovanni Muzzatti, Alessandra Santin, Renzo Spadotto and the new president of the Satellite Music for Solidarity club Stefania Fassetta.
