Castellammare – Flop Fratelli d’Italia, Sica: «It’s time to assume responsibility»
From Naples ready to appoint Giovanni De Angelis as new city coordinator.

Ernesto Sica, former municipal councilor of the Fratelli d’Italia, after his party’s flop in the municipal elections in Castellammare di Stabia, points the finger at «those who were on the list and did not bring votes and those who were not on the list but did not give the contribution he owed. They disappointed me.” The city secretary Michele Aprea inevitably ends up in the spotlight.
In his post-vote analysis, Sica – after thanking “those who authentically supported me” – underlines that the 253 votes obtained “impose on me the responsibility of not being able to stop my political action but at the same time do not allow me to enter the council, after having carried out the role of municipal councilor for just over 3 years and faced 2 years of commissionership from the outside where self-sacrifice, competence and above all infinite availability towards everyone have never been lacking. One result above
below expectations and not proportionate to my commitment but, nevertheless, important for which I have to thank my people and my team. The electoral and organizational commitment on my part was maximum. Unfortunately, I am paying for the failed election also and above all due to the numerical weakness of the FdI list first and foremost but, secondly, also, in part, of the coalition”.
Therefore, if on the one hand he says that he “cannot stop my political action”, on the other he specifies that “it is the time for deep reflections, for everyone to assume responsibility and to look ahead with great humility and determination”.
The assumption of responsibility probably refers precisely to the secretary Michele Aprea. And right now the Neapolitan party seems to be considering the possibility of entrusting the coordination of the local Fratelli d’Italia circle to Giovanni De Angelis, who for several weeks before the elections was on the verge of being nominated as candidate for mayor of the coalition of centre-right.
