Balthazar Pierret will not be in Lecce due to the no fly zone

As was announced days ago, the midfielder Balthazar Pierret he would have arrived in Salento this afternoon to undergo the ritual medical examinations. Following the outcome of the same, the player would then formalize his contract with Lecce as had already been discussed a few months ago.

The unexpected: Pierret will not be in Lecce

The player would have arrived today on a flight to Salento Airport and from there he would have been welcomed by the Giallorossi staff and then taken to Lecce.

The problem arose from the fact that the G7 is taking place in Fasano these days and, as per protocol, a “no fly zone” has been declared in some areas of the Brindisi and Tarantino areas, therefore all flights have been cancelled.

Temporary overflight ban

Just today, June 13, 2024from 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm, an overflight ban will be in force extended to all air traffic even within 5 NM from Brindisi airport, from ground level up to FL195.

More generally, starting from 12:00 on June 12, 2024and until 8pm on June 16, 2024a complete system of public order and safety will be active which affects sea, land and airspace.

When will Pierret be in Lecce?

The entire medical examination ritual has been postponed to next week on a date that has not yet been announced.
