Yesterday afternoon, in Viale della Liberazione, the second meeting between theInter and the agent Tullio Tinti for the contract extension of Simone Inzaghi. A summit lasting an hour and a half, which brought the parties closer (all that remains to be resolved is the duration: until 2027 or 2026 with the option) and which could lead to white smoke already in the next few days or hours. Meanwhile, on the transfer front, it is worth mentioning an imminent contact between Inter and Genoa to talk about Josep Martinez and Albert Gudmundsson.
The Icelandic offensive wildcard is the only candidate to complete an advanced sector which already includes three number 9s (Lautaro, Thuram and Taremi). But, first, the fourth, Marko Arnautovic, will have to be placed elsewhere, who, for now, doesn’t hear us and continues to remind everyone of the contract and deadline (30 June 2025) with Inter. The Grifone’s Spanish number one, however, is the runner-up who, in the race for the role of deputy Sommer, overtook the great favorite Bento Matheus Krepski, on stand-by due to the high demands of Athletico Paranaense (from 20 to 25 million with bonuses), securing first place on the grid. And that’s why there could be important news as soon as possible, with a first formal meeting between Inter and Genoa scheduled for this weekend or early next week. The summit will discuss Martinez’s valuation (15/20 million) and the possible inclusion of counterparts (from Satriano, 6 goals and 4 assists with Brest, 10 valuation, to Zanotti and the Esposito brothers) in the negotiation (formula: loan with redemption obligation), to lower the cash outlay. But Gudmundsson’s name will also slip into the discussions, due to Inter’s first official expression of interest in the Grifone, after Ausilio’s general approval for the Icelandic.
