The anniversary of the passing of Silvio Berlusconi is also paid to Monza, his last football club. In the Brianza evening Adriano Gallianired and white CEO, welcomed fans and journalists at the gates of the Lombard sports center, now officially called: “Silvio and Luigi Berlusconi“. These are his statements before announcing Alessandro Nesta as a new technician.
“We invited you because today, on the anniversary of the passing of our great President, we want to remember the reason for the greatness of this sports center. All the teams in our youth sector play here, as well as the First Team, and we are one of the few clubs in Italy to have 15 teams. We thought it was right to change the name of the center to thank the person who brought Monza to Serie A for the first time and who, with his passion, made Monzello become a center of excellence from the disastrous conditions in which we have it found“.
