Pescara – The international meeting to present the European INDEAR Project promoted in Italy by the LEONARDO Social Cooperative and financed by ‘National Erasmus+ Agency of Germany.

“Nursery: professional training and self-evaluation of staff in the management of early childhood services” is the title of the meeting which will be attended by Karin Sorgi, President of the Leonardo Cooperative, Andrea Bruni, Italian Project Manager, Aleksandra Sikorska, European Manager of the Project, Elisa Di Michele and Giorgia Chiavaroli, Researchers and Nicolina Capuano, Psychotherapist and sexologist.

The meeting will be an opportunity to present in Pescara, with the participation of the Municipal Administration, the INDEAR project designed to improve early childhood educational services by promoting greater training and self-evaluation of operators who will be able to create a more inclusive environment and conducive to the growth of each child, taking into account personal background: country of origin, possible traumatic experiences, family beliefs, physical abilities, etc.

The project will produce a set of innovative tools to help childcare workers improve their skills, address emerging challenges and adapt their working approaches and professional practices accordingly.

At the end of the project, sector operators will have an operational tool to improve understanding of children’s needs (particularly those in disadvantaged situations) and knowledge of how to address them. In this way they will be able to improve conditions of inclusion in childcare services and increase the capacity of nurseries to be places where all children are adequately welcomed with equal opportunities to realize their full potential.

The meeting is an opportunity for updating for educators of early childhood services who play a crucial role in ensuring a balanced and complete development of children, in fact the first results already elaborated from the project carried out together with professionals from Germany, Spain will be presented , Poland, Bosnia Herzegovina.

In this way we will have the opportunity to acquire a European perspective towards social policies for early childhood capable of improving the skills of the staff involved by promoting inclusion and welcoming diversity and guaranteeing high quality education and care systems.

The event will be broadcast live on the Cooperative’s social pages to allow the participation of European partners and school staff from all over Italy.
