Genoa transfer market, Vitinha remains in the rossoblu

The work alongside the Genoa managers has borne fruit, after the progress made in the last few hours, the white smoke arrived today that will allow Vitinha to stay at Grifone. The Portuguese striker, who scored two goals from January to the end of the season, strongly wanted to stay in Liguria and this very factor most likely affected the negotiation.

The agreement between Genoa and Olympique Marseille for Vitinha

The details of the deal are not yet known, but what seems certain is that Genoa will keep the player on loan for the whole of next year to buy out his contract at the end of next season for a sum of less than 25 million euros, scheduled for January.

Vitinha is therefore the first real market coup for the rossoblu who now have to try to protect at least one of the jewels in attack. Fiorentina courted Retegui but Grifone’s request for 30 million seems to have made the Viola look elsewhere. The situation is different for Gudmundsson, beyond the problems linked to the reopening of the judicial proceedings, he seems to be the one chosen to leave Genoa and raise money.

Inter consider him a first choice but the over 30 million requested by Genoa are a lot for the Nerazzurri club and the inclusion of a compensation does not seem to make inroads into the heart of Villa Rostan’s management. However, be careful of the competition and the possible auction. Napoli like Gudmundsson and in the last few hours the Tottenham track also seems to have opened up, a club with which Genoa has excellent relations as demonstrated by the Dragusin deal. Not to mention that there could be a flashback of Juventus and Roma.
