The Vicenza State Police in action in the city

Yesterday the Vicenza State Police, which continues its daily action to prevent and repress crimes*, solved two different cases of theft. Yesterday, in fact, around 2.00 pm, the owner of a public business located in Viale Verona, Vicenza, contacted 113 reporting the presence, near her shop, of the person responsible for a theft that had occurred a few days earlier. The alleged thief, an Italian woman in her 70s from outside the region, was in the company of other people in front of a tattoo shop, interested in the drawings on display.

Upon the arrival of the State Police officers, the woman was about to leave by car but was promptly stopped and taken to the police station. At the end of the judicial police procedures, she was reported for theft. Furthermore, the Police Headquarters of the province of Vicenza issued her with a Mandatory Street Notice from the Municipality of Vicenza for a period of 2 years.

Also around 2.00 pm, yesterday another police patrol, passing through Viale Verona, noticed a man who matched the description provided by the video surveillance images of a shop in Via Soldà, Vicenza, where a theft of various goods had taken place.

The man, a Nigerian citizen born in 1998, was stopped by the State Police and taken to the police station, where he was reported. For him too, the Police Commissioner has issued a mandatory street notice from the Municipality of Vicenza for a period of 2 years.
