FANO – He confessed that he killed his parents. A failed trade fair set-up business, constant requests for money from parents, who did everything they could, even selling their house, but it wasn’t enough. The debts were still too many, around 50 thousand euros. And so, in the villa on Via Fanella in Fano, the tragedy occurred: Giuseppe Ricci, 75 years old, and Luisa Marconi, 70 years old, were killed, probably after yet another argument by their son, the 50 year old Luca. Which he confessed after trying to deny for a long time during the interrogation.
The real motive is still missing, this is what Mobile and prosecutor Maria Letizia Fucci are looking for, who has reconstructed the last hours, which began with an early morning argument with the mother, who was strangled with a wire. After leaving the kitchen, he went to his father’s bedroom and killed him with hammer blows, but he had to fight, as demonstrated by some marks on his body.
Ricci then left the house and called for help, saying that he couldn’t get into the house and that his parents weren’t responding. The lawyer Roberto Longhini defends him. The president of the Marche Region, Francesco Acquaroli, said he was ‘dismayed’ after the news: “A drama that I believe deeply affects the community of Fano – he commented – but equally deeply the entire community of the Marche region. Ours is a medium-small community where there is very often in-depth knowledge between many of us; news like this really leaves us sad, he concluded, leaving a sense of deep sorrow, of pain because they are people who have lost their lives in a family problem”.
