Intense weekend of competitions for the athletes of the ASD Future Project Asti.
In the Ronco Scrivia kids Triathlon the youngest athletes of the Asti team competed and achieved excellent results. In the rookie category, Filippo Curcio and Filippo Saeli performed a solid performance in one of the most numerous and competitive categories, finishing in 14th and 16th place respectively. In the Minicuccioli category Emanuele Tessitore achieved a wonderful 3rd place, confirming himself at high levels after Piasco’s debut.

In the enchanting setting of San Teodoro, in Sardinia, the brothers Elisa and Andrea Maroni tried their hand at open water swimming in the first stage of the “Swim the Island” circuit. Despite the prohibitive sea conditions, Elisa finished the “Short Swim” (1800 m) winning the under-20 women’s category. Andrea was involved in the “Combined Swim” (1800 m on Saturday and 3200 m on Sunday), finishing the overall event with a brilliant 5th place overall and 3rd in the 20-29 years category.

The next events for the athletes of the Asti club will be at the end of the month, with the second stage of the “Swim the Island” circuit in Sirmione and the Asti aquathlon reserved for youth categories
