University of Siena students supporting blood disease research

“The colors of the world on the catwalk”, female and international students protagonists on Friday International students and students will be protagonists of “The colors of the world on the catwalk”, an event that links fashion and solidarity in support of research on blood diseases and which will be held in the courtyard of the Rectorate building of the University of Siena next Friday 14 June with free admission (via Banchi di Sotto 55).

It starts at 5.30 pm with the fashion show which will see the participation of 17 students of the university of various nationalities who, for one day, will transform themselves into male and female models and wear clothes and accessories from the initiative’s partner stores .

The event also represents a charity initiative in favor of the Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma – AIL of Siena and Grosseto.

For the University of Siena, Professor Monica Bocchia, full professor of Hematology and director of the complex Hematology Operational Unit of the university hospital, will be present: “Our students and future researchers will be involved in this beautiful experience of solidarity. Research in the oncology-hematology field is very expensive and requires funding, but it is also thanks to initiatives like this, and thanks to AIL Siena-Grosseto, that our research has been able to move forward over time”.

Representatives of the AIL Siena-Grosseto Association will be present. The initiative, conceived and organized by Dream Fashion, will be presented by Teo De Bonis and Emanuela Vigni and will allow fun to be combined with a moment of solidarity open to all.
