IndieRocket festival XXI edition of international independent music

The IndieRocket festival is one of the most important events dedicated to international independent music and will be held in a double location. The XXI edition, on stage from 20 to 22 September, will be on stage at the Becci pavilion in Pescara and, on Sunday, in Loreto Aprutino, at the Teatro del Grano.

A move both in terms of calendar and location which does not alter in any way, however, the spirit of research, innovation and discovery that has always distinguished the festival, attributes that have made it among the most important and recognized events in Italy dedicated to international independent music.

To celebrate its twenty-first anniversary IndieRocket chooses to present a new concept, “Aquæ”, a name that identifies a lineup that is strongly oriented towards electronic sounds, underlining the fluidity of the music and the Festival’s continuous commitment to artistic research and experimentation. A concept that is also linked to the choice of the Pala Becci, located near the Marina di Pescara tourist port, a tribute to the strong bond between the city and the sea itself, an element that has always inspired our lives and our work. To crown the change, the artistic co-direction is handled by Gianluca Gozzi, former artistic director of Todays festival, together with the historical director of IndieRocket, Paolo Francesco Visci.

During the three days of the festival, we will have the pleasure of hosting international and local artists who will explore new sonic frontiers, offering unique and engaging performances. This renewed focus on electronic music will not only enrich the audience experience, but will also reflect our continued evolution and adaptation to changes in the contemporary music landscape.

The Becci pavilion, with its versatile space and vibrant atmosphere, is the ideal location to welcome this special edition. It will be a meeting point for music lovers, artists and the curious, a place in which to listen and experience the festival’s offerings live, bringing unrepeatable proposals and emotions above and below the stage.

But the surprises don’t end there! We are pleased to announce that the closing of the festival, on Sunday 22 September, will be hosted by the municipality of Loreto Aprutino in collaboration with Pollinaria, inside the Teatro del Grano. “Æquinox” is the name of Sunday’s event, a bucolic final party, immersed in nature, which promises to offer unforgettable emotions with many surprises to conclude this special edition in style.

Three days of music, culture and experimentation: the IndieRocket Festival continues to be a beacon for all those seeking new sonic experiences and wish to discover the best of the independent music scene.
