Two events for book and reading enthusiasts.

On June 25th at 6.30 pm in the Circolo La Scaletta headquarters, in Via Sette Dolori 10 in the Sassi of Materawill be presented on book by Paolo Tittozzi by title: “Chasing My Father” (Graus editions). The teacher will dialogue with the author Anna Pagliei the actor will read some passages of the text Lello Chiacchio.

Chasing My Father is a novel that tells the story of men who lived through the bloody war in Abyssinia and the monstrosities of the Second World War but, at the same time, it is a popular text on a historical period apparently known to adults. and actually unknown to the kids. Antonio Sordi, the protagonist of the book, tells the story of his stolen youth spent on the battlefields of North Africa alongside General Rommel’s Afrika Korps. Upon his return to Naples he will find a city transformed by the war in which beautiful stories of friendship and great humanity will intertwine.

On June 28th again at 6.30 pm in the Circolo La Scaletta headquartersthe work of will be presented instead Nina Giordano by title: “History of a chiaroscuro” (ed. Di Carlo). Talking with the author Anna Paglieireadings by Emilia Fortunato.

The book is Lena’s story, intertwined with the lives of the author and figures connected to her. A story of love that is also expressed through commitment and daily effort in regenerating it, in not letting it go out and in allowing it to always give new emotions.

It is the story of the life of a woman who made it and which is set in the setting of different spaces, from cities to the provinces, in a succession of varied and complex situations. Nina Giordano’s book has been included in the Villa Gaia genre library in Pavia.

Paolo Tittozzi was born in Rome and after studying chemistry he moved to Bari to work as a researcher at the Institute of Applied Geology of the local University where, in the twenty years of his stay, he published numerous scientific works in the field of hydrogeochemistry in various sector journals as well as to numerous articles in various newspapers and periodicals. At the end of the 90s he ceased his university experience and began his entrepreneurial career by founding training institutes operating at a national level.
