79 kilos of hashish worth over 300 thousand euros seized in San Leone: two arrests

Having left France, precisely from Marseille, they were headed to San Leone with a “load” of hashish to be delivered, probably, to currently unknown subjects. As many as 79 kilos of hashish seized by the Goa financial police personnel, with the collaboration of the Fiamme Gialle unit of the provincial command of Agrigento, in Maddalusa, a few meters from the “Babbaluciara” beach.

Here one of the two occupants of the blocked car managed to get rid of the mobile phone by throwing it into the river. The divers unit of the Guardia di Finanza intervened to recover the device.

The operation, started from state road 640, in the “Sacchitello” area, made it possible to seize drugs, a car and identify an immigrant of Moroccan nationality believed to be an accomplice of the two arrested, who managed to escape. Both French: the fifty-one-year-old Mickael Andre Ben Oliel and the forty-year-old Assia Chabni.

The two, after the ritual formalities, were taken to the “Petrusa” district prison. The investigating judge of the Agrigento court Giuseppe Miceli validated the arrests and ordered, as requested by the public prosecutor Annalisa Failla, custody in prison.

During the interrogation, assisted by the lawyer Gianfranco Pilato, they gave their version of the facts. The fifty-one year old, in particular, said that his partner knew nothing and was in Agrigento to spend a holiday. But he added: “I can’t tell you who commissioned my transport, if I speak they’ll kill me. I was waiting for a message to deliver the drugs.”

The hashish, once placed in the drug dealing areas, would have brought in over 300,000 euros.
