Important success for the Renoir Cultural Center and, in particular, for his President, Cav. Cosimo Lardiello, with news that will certainly be a source of pride and pride for our entire community. Magazine “MAY 1861”, monthly magazine of customs and society, edited by the national press agency AGI has in fact chosen the activity of the Renoir Center to give representation to the Taranto area and this through a long interview with Cav. Lardiello, contained in the latest edition of the monthly magazine, dedicated to “G7” summit of heads of state scheduled for this week in Puglia.

In particular, the special edition of the monthly magazine “MAG” contains within the section called “the treasure of the Mar Piccolo” in addition to the interview with Cav. Lardiello, signed by the well-known journalist Lidia Lombardi, the interventions of some prestigious chefs, committed to exemplifying the peculiarities of the sea resource in the representation of some culinary creations. Importantly, the monthly magazine is part of a press review which is currently being distributed to the representatives of the delegations present at the G7 summit, which will take place in the well-known resort “Borgo Egnazia”.

«It is – explains the Cav. Cosimo Lardiello – of an important recognition towards our now over thirty-year activity; we were the first in Taranto to believe in one relaunch phase of the city and its image built through the valorization of its natural peculiarities. Even before the big media began to create and advertise the Apulian food and wine brand, we were the first to believe that the mussels of Taranto could represent the cornerstone of an important phase of characterization of the socio-economic fabric of the city; emerging, with courage, from a legacy of banalization and carelessness, we were the first to intuit that a new path could start from sea products. Twenty years after the very first edition of the event “Cooking Festival with Taranto mussels” (more than 240 events throughout Europe, event hosted, among other locations, in starred restaurants in Paris, Munich, Malta and Berlin) the national press continues to recognize our central and undisputed role in the growth of the Taranto mussel brand , as well as, in fact, boasting of being real ambassadors of the beauty of our sea.”

«The interview – – concludes the Cav. Lardiello – does not constitute a personal success but simply the victory of a model and a mentality, based on trying to obtain real results, economic and tangible impacts signs of common growth, in good faith and without the search for and use of public resources. Over the years there have been several attempts to imitate and copy our format, but little trace remains of these attempts; unlike others, we truly worked for the common good. We therefore hope that the service that the AGI news agency has decided to dedicate to us can serve to bring new attention to our resources, claiming not without a pinch of pride that we are, in fact, the only people from Taranto mentioned in this important monthly magazine which will be distributed during the summit of heads of state.”
