Florentine, here we go again. The season has just ended, a new summer is about to begin and the problem to be solved for the Viola’s transfer men is always the same: finding a striker capable of reaching double figures and guaranteeing at least 10 goals in the league. The names in the notebook of sporting director Daniele Pradè and the (almost) new technical director Roberto Goretti, who had dinner together yesterday, are known.
The favorite seems to be Mateo Retegui of Genoa, which however is destined to remain only a target if the Grifone does not deviate from the request of 30 million euros. The lily club is willing to put 15 on the table, it could reach 20, but at the moment it is not willing to raise the stakes for the national team’s center forward that much.
Then there are also Lorenzo Lucca, Andrea Pinamonti and Mauro Icardi. The latter will most likely remain a suggestion, not so much for the value of the player or the price tag, but because his salary of 6 million euros per year is too high for Fiorentina’s parameters. For the Sassuolo striker, however, who closed the season with 12 goals between Serie A and the Italian Cup, there is no shortage of competition, given that he also ended up in the sights of Parma, Como, Turin and even Inter. The “easiest” to reach seems to be Lucca, which Conte likes for Napoli, but which with 10-12 million euros could start from Udine. It remains to be seen whether it would be enough to solve all of Fiorentina’s problems.
