Based on the information found, a man of Moroccan origins, aged around 42, appears to have been sentenced to life imprisonment. The sentence would have come following the killing of his wife which occurred on the night between 10 and 11 October 2022. The tragedy would have occurred in Padiglione di Osimo, in the province of Ancona.
The life sentence appears to have been decided by the Court of Assizes of Ancona. The verdict appears to have been given after two hours of deliberation, on the murder that ended the life of the 42-year-old’s wife. It seems that the woman was from Osimo, that she was 41 years old and that she was the mother of two daughters.
The man would then be accused of voluntary homicide aggravated by a series of elements. Among these: cruelty, frivolous motives, mistreatment. Furthermore, also by the presence of the two minor girls and of having committed the murder while serving a sentence for which he apparently was under house arrest.
According to initial reconstructions, it seems that the prosecutor in the case defined the man as “sick with jealousy”. He would also have stated that the 42-year-old tried to hide all the evidence of the fact. The defense lawyer, however, seems to have opted for the version of manslaughter.
According to the information found, it seems that the murderer was in the courtroom, escorted by prison police officers. The victim’s mother and brother were also in the classroom. It seems that the 42-year-old had been held in prison since the day of the crime. The daughters would have been entrusted to a guardian.
The 42-year-old Moroccan would therefore have been sentenced to provide compensation of 400 thousand euros to each daughter, who currently appears to be 7 and 10 years old. Furthermore, it seems that compensation of 250 thousand euros was ordered for the woman’s mother and 165 thousand for her brother. Apparently, the defense appears to have already filed an appeal.
