The administrative elections in Sicily: the six mayors elected in the province of Agrigento, and then in the provinces of Palermo and Trapani. Caltanissetta and Gela in the run-off.

The administrative elections in the Agrigento area. The voter turnout in the six Municipalities was 45.41%, the lowest in Sicily. Overall, 20,018 people voted.

Salvatore Mangione, 850 votes, is the new mayor of Alessandria della Rocca. He defeated Giuseppe Montana, 832 votes. In Alessandria della Rocca 1,699 people voted, equal to 41.94%.

Biagio Marciante, outgoing vice mayor, is the new mayor of Caltabellotta, with 1168 votes. He defeated the pharmacist Roberto D’Alberto, with 921 votes. In Caltabellotta 2,170 people voted, equal to 60.14%.

Vito Terrana is the new mayor of Campobello di Licata, with 1,854 preferences. Then Antonio Pitruzzella 1,806 votes, Michele Termini 1,760, and Lillo Massimiliano Musso 114. 5,696 voted, equal to 54.17%.

Milco Dalacchi is the new mayor of Naro, with 1881 votes, victorious over the outgoing mayor, Maria Grazia Brandara, 937 votes, and over the former commissioner of the province of Agrigento Roberto Enzo Barberi, with 1028 votes. In Naro, 4,011 people voted, equal to 37.89%.

Lillo Bongiorno is the new mayor of Racalmuto with 1923 votes. Followed by Salvatore Petrotto with 1794 votes and Salvatore Picone with 1018. 4,847 people voted, equal to 45.66%.

Liborio Gaziano is the new mayor of Santa Elisabetta, with 885 votes. The outgoing president of the city council won against the outgoing mayor Mimmo Gueli, with 672 votes. In Santa Elisabetta 1,595 voted, equal to 33.58%.

Both Caltanissetta, the only capital to vote, and Gela are on the ballot. On Sunday 23 June from 7am to 11pm and on Monday 24th from 7am to 3pm in Caltanissetta the centre-right candidate, Walter Tesauro, will clash against the civic candidate Annalisa Petitto (also supported by the Democratic Party without a symbol).

In Gela, Grazia Consentino, from the center-right beyond Italia Viva, and Terenziano Di Stefano, from the center-left will duel.

In the province of Palermo, in Bagheria Filippo Tripoli of Italia Viva wins with over 70% of the votes, at the head of a transversal coalition that includes the Democratic Party, Cateno De Luca and Action.

In Monreale, Alberto Arcidiacono was confirmed as mayor, with more than 80% of the votes, ahead of all the other candidates.

The outgoing Nicolò Nicolosi is defeated in Corleone. The Melonian and former councilor Walter Rà wins, supported by almost the entire centre-right.

Then there are mayors Giuseppe Minutilla in San Mauro Castelverde, Pippo Palmeri in Roccamena, Roberto Davì in Borgetto, Vera Abbate in Cinisi, the first female mayor, Nicolò Granà in Palazzo Adriano, the only candidate, and Piero Calogero D’Anna in Bompietro.

Then in the province of Trapani Vito Scalisi wins in Salemi, Michele Saitta in Salaparuta, Giovanni Lentini of the centre-right in Castelvetrano, and in Mazara del Vallo the outgoing Salvatore Quinci wins re-election, overcoming Nicolò Cristaldi.
