It’s still the theater to tell and commemorate the Matteotti crime, Tuesday 11 June at 8.30pm at the Fausto Melotti Auditorium in Roveretowhen Anna Meacci, Daniela Morozzi and Chiara Rondino, directed by Matteo Marsan, will bring the show to the stage “The body“.

Velia Titta, poet and writer; Anna Kuliscioff, doctor, politician and journalist; Julia Shuchtintellectual, musician, activist; Margherita Sarfattiintellectual, art critic, journalist: four great women whose destiny was linked to that of four protagonists of Italian politics of the 20th century, Giacomo Matteotti, Filippo Turati, Antonio Gramsci and Benito Mussolini. Inside History with a capital H, the choices of each of them take shape. In the period that will mark the transition to the fascist dictatorship, in which the kidnapping, the murder and finally the discovery of the “body” of Giacomo Matteotti, we see them act, think, feel, take responsibility for their choices. There are events that profoundly change history. Events for which there is a before and an after. The Matteotti crime is one of these.

The replica in Rovereto is organized by Tuesday in collaboration with the Santa Chiara Cultural Services Center and with the patronage of the Ministry of Culture. The initiative is included in the schedule of celebrations for the hundredth anniversary of the death of Giacomo Matteotti sponsored by the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Trentino Historical Museum Foundation and the Municipality of Pejo Terme, and for the occasion the exhibition “Art and Fascism” it will be open until midnight. Free entry both at the museum (from 6pm) and at the theatre.
