There is also Agrigento with its Almond tree in bloom in the new “showcase” offered by one of the most well-known brands in the world: Birra Messina. Sicilian art returns to dress the new glasses produced by the company which, also in 2024, continues its path of homage to the island that gave it birth, taking inspiration from its riches. “Four years after the first launch – underline the creators of the project – three new glasses close the collection of 9 masterpieces to give life to a real journey-tribute to the discovery of the 9 Sicilian provinces”.
The decorations of the three new glasses, inspired by the mosaics of Piazza Armerina in the province of Enna, the Mandorlo in fiore of Agrigento and the castles of Caltanissetta, tell both the story of the artists who designed the friezes and the concrete commitment of Birra Messina in celebrating the art of this wonderful land, thus combining tradition and innovation”.
Alessandra Pennino from Agrigento drew the blossoming almond trees on the glasses and, with a past as a painter, made Sicilian nature and culture her sources of inspiration. You thus based the design of the glass dedicated to Agrigento on the study of the almond tree. A drawing created to depict the Sicilian spring, as the artist’s eyes see it: delicate, joyful and at the same time elegant.
