Unstable weather and hydraulic criticality in Veneto

Despite the arrival of the summer season, the weather still puts us to the test with rainfall and hydraulic criticalities for various basins.

VENETO – The Decentralized Functional Center of the Civil Protection of Veneto has issued a new warning of hydrogeological and hydraulic criticality, with an update valid from 2pm today to 2pm tomorrow 12 June.

The notice confirms the state of attention due to hydraulic criticality in the Adige-Garda and Monti Lessini, Po, Fissero-Tartaro-CanalBianco and Basso Adige, Basso Brenta – Bacchiglione basins referring to the persistence of high levels along the Adige river, with various critical issues in the body of the embankments affecting the downstream section of Boara Pisani (PD). The Livenza river, where the levels are high and still higher than the first threshold, is the cause of the ordinary hydraulic criticality in its basin.

Forecasts believe that the weather in the region will remain unstable until Thursday the 13th, when the last part of the disturbance that has affected us in recent days is expected to pass through. Therefore, precipitation, including showers or thunderstorms, is still expected, interspersed with various breaks. The risk of limited intense phenomena will still be present, but lower (probability 10-30%) and with less frequent phenomena compared to recent days.
