(Sixth Power) – Cesena – 18 June 2024 – The “Colpi di scene – International Biennial of Theater for Children and Young People” exhibition organized by Accademia Perduta/Romagna Teatri and ATER Fondazione reaches its third day of work on Wednesday 19 June, for which the program will take place between Forlì and Faenza. Five shows, including three “National Premieres”. Also on stage is the Catalan company Farrés Brothers.

It will be the brand new production of Lost Academy/Romagna Theatres BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS, presented in the “National Premiere”, to open the day at 10 am at the Teatro Piccolo in Forlì. The show, signed by Nadia Milani, questions what beauty is today, and who has the right to judge it. Questions that concern an ever-current theme and which the show wants to answer by returning to the origins of non-judgment, what boys and girls naturally practice every day.

At 11.30 am at the Testori Theatre, the Clochart Collective presents DOWN. The story tells of a mother’s fear of giving birth to a daughter with Down’s Syndrome and of a daughter’s courage to face the fears that her life subjects her to. A love story, made of patience and listening.

“National Premiere” at the Diego Fabbri Theater where, at 2.30 pm, the Catalan company Farrés Brothers presents ORBITAL. The protagonists are Mariona, Yuri and Nil, three children who play Martians. One day their orbits diverge and they lose track. Having become an adult, Mariona is about to realize the three’s dream: truly traveling in space. But she doesn’t want to leave without saying goodbye to her friends. Orbital revolves around a waiting hug and three friends’ long journey to get it.

The festival will then move to Faenza where, at 4.30 pm at the Teatro Europa, another new production by Accademia Perduta will be presented in the “National Premiere”: GRANNY AND WOLF of the company TCP many such projectsan original retelling of the tale of Little Red Riding Hood.

The last event of the day will be staged at the Teatro Masini in Faenza where, at 6 pm, the Circus Carpa Diem will present DOUBLE ZERO, a contemporary circus show with two funny and tender characters who read upside down suspended from a pole, who ride a bicycle pedaling with their hands and driving with their feet. A journey through time and feelings, accompanied by the songs of the 50s, by radio news and by that desire to live that could be felt in the years of reconstruction.

Information: all shows are open to the public free of charge (subject to availability).
