She was the most voted centre-right woman in Piedmont in these last regional elections. Marina Chiarelli from Novara collected 6,850 votes, just a hundred less than Mimmo Rossi, Piedmontese secretary of the Democratic Party who gathered 6,985. In Novara city, however, the two received the same number of preferences: 3,244.

«The emotion is great – these are his words – It is a magnificent victory that fills me with pride and responsibility with respect to the great work to be done in the Piedmont Region. The incredible success of Fratelli d’Italia in our province rewards our project, the determination in making citizens understand that thanks to FdI these territories can seize greater opportunities in the economic and social development policies of Piedmont”. And she adds: «I never thought I would be the most voted woman in the Region. I thank, one by one, my 6856 voters, the militants who put their trust in me and Senator Gaetano Nastri for giving me this incredible opportunity and supporting me in every moment of my political education. A hug and congratulations to the president Alberto Cirio with whom I can’t wait to start working.”

With the entry of Marina Chiarelli into the Regional Council, the position of deputy mayor in Novara becomes available. The “natural candidate” is Ivan De Grandis, councilor also from the Brothers of Italy, but mayor Canelli could decide for a real council reshuffle.
